Reliable, easy to use software that enhances the education experience
Help students put engineering theory into practice and prepare them for industry. Educators can choose from a range of straightforward tools that optimize the lab teaching environment (on campus and remote), help students visualize complex ideas, and increase measurement learning and insight.
Electrical and computer engineering degrees are becoming more important as industry innovation drives new technologies and new applications.
Tektronix offers a number of efficient and intuitive software solutions for educators. The resulting hardware and software combine to offer:
Tektronix enables many of its oscilloscopes and bench instruments to be remotely accessed and controlled. Our IP-based capability on oscilloscopes, called eScope, provides the flexibility of remotely setting up a lab instrument and enabling students to make real-time measurements. Equally important, it provides a virtual front panel which helps students experience how to use industry instruments, even if they have to learn remotely.,
KickStart instrument control software for the PC enables quick test setup, text execution and data visualization. By plotting data immediately and offering quick statistical summaries of the data in the reading table, KickStart allows you to gather insights faster to make the decisions you need to make.
When you need to have deeper analysis insight and a way to collaborate remotely, Tektronix TekScope PC analysis software allows you to analyze waveforms directly from your computer.
Combining remote access and control of instruments with robust analysis of up to 16 analog channels, TekScope is a powerful tool to give students practical experience with industry-standard oscilloscopes. You can even augment a basic scope by adding additional analysis functions like bus decode packages. Once you’ve analyzed your measurements, TekScope lets you easily share data with students or colleagues.
TekDrive is a collaborative test and measurement workspace wherein users can upload, store, organize, search, download, and share files from any connected device. Because TekDrive is natively integrated into many oscilloscope models, users can seamlessly and securely share files without a USB flash drive.
IoT Data Streaming and Visualization Dashboard
Initial State, a Tektronix company, lets you stream data directly from Keithley DAQs and DMMs to customizable online dashboards so you can remotely monitor ongoing tests from any connected device, including smartphones. You can also use these dashboards to share data with students or colleagues and set up SMS or email triggers and alerts at relevant measurement thresholds. With free access for students, our data streaming dashboard can be a powerful tool for remote education.
The Initial State IoT data streaming service natively integrates with Keithley DAQs, Dataloggers, and DMMs to provide automatic streaming and logging with no coding required. This lets you monitor and log data streams in real time from any connected device. You can also set up email and text alerts with triggers based on measurement thresholds and other mathematical rules.
Remote Data Management
ScopeSnap is a remote data management application that you can access on any connected device—including your smartphone. Once you pair with a 5 Series oscilloscope, ScopeSnap lets you easily grab and share data including waveforms, setups, measurements, and screenshots. ScopeSnap is currently in beta testing and works exclusively with the 5 Series MSO. Sign up for the beta version.
